Yes, I have run out of titles for posts full of random tidbits. Sorry.
3 days til we start moving! Unfortunately, we can't seem to get hold of the manager at the new place to find out what electric company services that area. It's very frustrating because we would like to have electricity when we are moving. AND we already set it up to have the internet switched over there on Friday.
Lucy is being a crabby pants. I have a lot of work to do, but she wants to be held.
The battery for my BlackBerry has been on its last leg for a while. Several weeks ago, the previous battery died for good. Jason gave me his, and then we bought him a used one from a used phone store in town. Well, I quickly burned out his old battery too. We found the one from my old, broken BB. However, I was putting off putting it in my phone until the current one was completely finished. Now, I don't know where it is. So annoying.
Well, today I got paid the remaining balance for the wedding I have booked for June 2nd. It's only $300 (this was a $500 portfolio-building wedding shoot). Originally, I was planning to use it to buy one of those super nice, super safe car seats I have been wanting to get the girls (or, rather, I was thinking this one should be for the boy...but I have another wedding booked in early September that could get his car seat if I get Gabby's now). However, I KNOW I thought of something that I was thinking the money maybe should go for instead. But I can't remember what for the life of me. Maybe it didn't come down to something other than a car seat but rather was whether I should get a seat for the new baby or for Gabby right now. Gabby really needs one soon, so she can stop using it as a booster (to avoid the tipping of her current seat, if you will recall from my previous post about this). I would really like for her to be using a harness still (as she should be).
Jason doesn't really think the kids need these expensive car seats. I can't blame him for not wanting to spend $300 A PIECE on 4 car seats, but I think they DO need them. I told him that, if I make enough money between photo shoots and writing, I AM getting them. He said that is fine as long as the bills are paid first. lol
Now, I am debating if I should get the Radian for this baby (like I plan to get the girls) because it goes up to 120 pounds and does rear-facing, front-facing harness, AND booster or if I should get him a Britax convertible. I am just concerned about neck support for a newborn. I don't really like convertibles for newborns because I feel like they are too upright. Babies who can't support their necks always seem to be falling forward in them, and I worry about their breathing when leaned so far over. I honestly don't even like the way Lucy's head falls to her chest when she falls asleep in her convertible.
Speaking of making money from writing. I have already earned almost $40 in performance pay (in the last 10 days or so). I'm pretty proud of myself. lol Too bad all those views are only for one article, and none of the others are getting any views at all. lol Also, that article was getting several thousand views a day the last several days...until yesterday when I got a total of no views at all. lol
Gah. I wish I could remember what I was thinking about the car seats or something else. It's driving me crazy. If I'm getting a car seat, I want to go ahead an order it. However, I don't want to order it until I know there's not something more pressing.
We need other things too. Like the car needs work, but it doesn't get driven a whole lot these days. Jason just drives it to work and school. $300 isn't enough for the new axle end, anyway. I think the car seats take precedence.
